Founded in 2008 in honor of Dr. David Hindson, who is recognized by physicians region-wide as a teacher, mentor and colleague. Dr. Hindson's tireless dedication to patients, trainees and the Boise VA hospital inspired three decades of physicians.
The primary mission of the Foundation is to foster physician medical education in the state of Idaho. This occurs principally through conferences, didactic lectures, and other activities at all levels of education, including medical students and residents, as well as continuing medical education for practicing physicians. The Foundation sponsors The McCall Winter Conference, an annual multi-day series of medical lectures and educational activities, in concert with the Idaho chapter of the American College of Physicians and the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
